The heading at the top of the page is an example of changing colors with the Color Replacer in Paint Shop Pro. This is one of the handier features that Paint Shop Pro offers. It is very easy to use and it is also quick.
How often have you wanted to change one color of a graphic without affecting the other colors? How about those customers who are always wanting a different color on a logo or graphic. This is the tool you are looking for.
With the Color Replacer tool you choose two colors, the one you want to replace and the color you want to replace it with. Other colors in the graphic are not affected.
This tool differs from the Flood Fill tool in that it will let you change part of the color in a section to the new color without having to change all of it. It will also usually leave the graphic with cleaner edges. You can change the colors several times with this tool without the edges deteriorating.
In the example above the type was first done in blue and then the blue was changed to black on the bottom half of the type.
| On the color Palette at the right, you can
see that the blue is shown as the background color and the black is the foreground.
With the Color Replacer only the background color with be replaced with the foreground
color. All other colors will remain the same. Be sure to set the color you want replaced as the background color and the new color as the foreground color before you start. |
